We spent the day at the beach. It was beautiful - a bit windy though. We must have walked 2 hours and the entire time Lovebug kept at a steady jog. He’s a little guy with a lot of energy. We stopped at a cafe and had something to drink and then took this pic. In the background is the Coronado Bridge.
We’re going to see “After The Wedding” tonight. Anyone see it?

We did this necklace for Kerri Russel (She was Felicity - The Fox Show a few years back) who is pregnant with her first little cherub. I like it so much, I may have to put it on the site.

It was a rainy weekend in San Diego. There is an indoor mall with a play area about 20 miles east of where we live. So we packed up and took a field trip. This is Lovebug playing engineer.

Just when we thought our house was “Two Year Old Proofed”, Mabel comes to sway me to the kitchen/breakfast nuk. This is where I found Lovebug. Not only did he climb into his highchair himself, but he did it with his Winnie The Pooh.
Tail wagging, Mabel was very proud of herself for this new revelation.

We went to Mimi and Nono’s house yesterday to color and hunt for eggs. First we made a chocolate bunny cake to take with us.
We arrived and immediately got busy coloring eggs. Julian was a natural.
Lovebug solves the problem of two eggs not being able to fit at once by firmly pressing them down…
Almost finished, Julian reaches for the last one.

With a heavy basket, the job is completed and well done. A note about Lovebug’s shoes…. He got new shoes for Easter, but opted for his Elmo slippers instead…. Sigh.

The trick to taking a 2 year old to the movies is getting there at least 20 minutes late. After breakfast and our morning walk, I told Lovebug we were going to the movies to see “Meet The Robinson’s” and then to get a new bunny. I chose the theater at the mall where “Build A Bear” is. I figured if he didn’t last in the movie, we would go over to Build A Bear and build a bunny - for Easter.
But Lovebug did last the whole movie. He sat with his child size popcorn completely focused. I’m sure he knew about the movie. He watches the Disney Channel where 7 minutes doesn’t pass without promoting “Meet The Robinson’s”…..
After the movie, we had lunch and made our way to Build A Bear where Julian immediately chose a lop bunny to stuff, fluff and dress. He picked out the soccer outfit; it figures.
Bunny’s name is Bunny, and he’s tucked in with Julian right now….
It was a cool day for a cool kid.

There is Love Bug about 3 days old in his NICU bed…. We were at a dinner party recently and I overheard Tony tell a friend that Julian was 19″ long when he was born. I almost sprayed wine all over the person in front of me. A three pound baby at 19″ long would be a noodle - falls off the chair laughing!
The next day I made a Necklace and put it on Tony’s jewelry box for him to wear. I watched as he put his glasses on and read the inscriptions on the back… “Julian was 15.5″ when he was born”? he asked. “Yes”, I said followed by a “huh” from Tony….
Anyway, I love this necklace. It’s fashionable, and having all of Julian’s birth info is such a sweet reminder.
